BHADERWAH,JUNE 04 (KNO) : Under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum (ReTTF), ReT teachers of Bhaderwah working under centrally sponsored SSA scheme today held protest in front of ZEO office Bhaderwah for delinking of their salaries and demanded release of pending wages.

The protest and demonstration held under the leadership of president Sheetal Kumar and attended by the three dozen executive members of the Forum which included Javed Iqbal , Suresh Kumar , Raj Kumar , Sham Singh , Sanjay Parihar , Shakti Manhas , Imran Ali , Anzer Hussain , Sunil Kumar and other .

While speaking on the occasion Chairman of the forum Sanjay Parihar expressed his grave concerns over the failure of the department to pay monthly salary to the SSA teachers who have been living in miserable conditions as their family members are not getting the basic amenities of life like proper food and clothing to their children and medicines to their ailing parents. He said that this burning issue has already been taken with the department many times but nothing concrete has been done till date to streamline SSA salary.

We held peaceful protests as a mark of our resentment to press the government to D-Link the SSA salary, time bound promotion , benefits of 7th pay commission and if this problem is not resolved at earliest, SSA teachers will be forced to come on roads and for this step government would be personally responsible, he said.He appealed the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Finance Minister Altaf Bukhari and Education minister Ch Zulfkar Ali to personally intervene in this matter so that thousands of SSA teachers may not suffer anymore otherwise ReT teachers would not have any option than to lock the schools for indefinite period and for this extreme step the government will be personally responsible.
